What is the most insensitive thing an Overseer or Elder has ever said and done to you?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhat is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?
i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.
he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

My father died when I was 13. He wasn't a JW but came with my mother and I to the sunday meeting from time to time. Several days later, two elders came to our home and just told us "Now that Simon's passed away, you've got not reason to be so irregular to the wednesday meeting anymore". There were their true words ! 35 years later, I remember it as it was yesterday ! -

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
1° there is no true love among JWs
2° where are "everyone" who knows JWs are true disciples of Christ ? Are JWs knows for their love, for their honesty, for their solid family relationship ?

What is the youngest a child has been baptised as a JW?
by Ultimate Axiom inthe youngest reference i have come across is in the 1992 watchtower (march 1st page 27) - “in the summer of 1946, i was baptized at the international convention in cleveland, ohio.
although i was only six years of age…”.
i would like to find more examples of this, particularly of examples in more recent times.

My former Presiding Overseer was baptized at 9, elder at 21... He was 100% fanatic and now, achieving the age of 70, he is no more coordinator of the body of elders because he's too old ! He married a girl (aged 15) 14 years younger, who was "offered" by her Elder Father... She died at 48 by cancer. What a sad life ! No children,
And several years ago, he was removed from the Regional Assemblies program because a new pioneer good-looking generation was growing up ! Old men had to leave the place !

When was your last Kingdom Hall meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini stopped going to kingdom hall meetings about nine years ago.
i was fading for the longest time, refused to go out in field service, dropped out of the ministry school talks, no longer answered at the watchtower study, arrived at the meetings the last second, and left as soon as possible.
i couldn't take attending the meetings any longer.

For me, it was exactly 4 years ago. I was caught playing "we wish you a merry christmas" with my wind band and DEMANDED by 2 elders to choose between "Jehovah's organisation" and "my music" with it's worldy members and "pagan works". Even if I would choose to remain in the organisation, I would be "helped for several months" to understand how serious my sin was...
When I left them, I knew I would never be back ! I wrote them a lettre who was not to dissociate but to explain why I would not attend meetings anymore nor share in the field service. I was very attentive to each word I used and then refused to meet 2 elders ou 1 elder with the "circuit overseer" but I proposed to share a good beer with an INDIVIDUAL elder, as friends for 30 years and have a conversation from man to man... THEY refused !
No regret !

Dumb Elders
by minimus ini knew a few pretty intelligent elders .
sometimes i would wonder why they remained as elders or even witnesses because they were successful men who made a good living and were highly respected because of their qualities.. that is a rather small group.
most elders that i know of aren’t the brightest bulbs in the sky.

I knew an elder who told us an incredible "secret" from the stage : He heard about "insect situations" among 2 families in the congregation...
I'm afraid he didn't make the difference with "incest"...
